Quarantine Life

Whelp, this pandemic has certainly turned any semblance of plans we all might have had completely upside down. I am fortunate enough to be healthy, safe, and in my favorite place on earth (the Adirondacks) through all of this.

I was supposed to start a 12-month sabbatical on May 1st that I had been preparing for for two and a half years- this is now postponed to June 2021. Someone had already signed the lease to take over my apartment in Somerville, so we packed up and headed for the family cabin in the Adirondacks not quite realizing how long we would be up here! What we thought might be a week-long stay has actually seen us through the transition from snow pants to sunblock; it’s been over two months. Here are some photos of the times we’ve been having, complete with an island camping trip on my pandemic birthday.
